made it necessary for me to require him to postpone his leave

for the present. As soon as he has retired from his temporary

seat on the Council I propose to ask you to confirm the re-

appointment of Mr. Badeley, who may, however, be again required

to resign his seat upon the return to the Colony of Mr. A. W.

Brewin, absent on leave.
